Yesterday afternoon was awful. I couldn't concentrate on anything. Bradley tried calling countless times before I turned my phone off.
Bimbo called and told me that he dropped by and asked to see me. She told him that I wasn't in. I thanked her and told her that if he comes again she should tell him that I've resigned.
Gay Boss came to my office to speak to me before I left to go home. I wasn't listening to anything he was saying. He finally got angry with me. He accused me of not listening to a word that he was saying. Apparently I'm a selfish individual who doesn't give a shit about anyone but myself.
I fought angry tears as I hurried to my car. The car park was eerily empty. It was dark and cold. The lighting was extremely dim. Why had I never noticed that before?
I sudden movement in the shadows made me jump and drop my keys. I clumsily picked them up and got into the car. My heart was beating so fast. I was afraid. I don't know why. So I got a few phone calls from an ex boyfriend. It doesn't mean he's chasing me for Gods sake!
I don't quite remember driving home but before I knew it I was standing in the living room with every light in the house switched on. I decided to occupy myself and make a start on dinner. Solicitor normally gets home an hour or so after I do. It might break the tension between us if I cooked him a nice meal.
I slowly calmed down as I peeled potatoes. I laughed at myself for getting so stressed out. I was just checking the chicken in the oven when the landline rang. I jumped and burnt my hand on the baking tray. I couldn't help but cry as I held my hand beneath a cold tap. I felt exhausted and frustrated.
I was vaguely aware of the phone ringing in the background while I sobbed by the sink.
I'm not sure how long I stood there crying. My hand was numb from the freezing water but I didn't move. That’s how Solicitor found me. He walked into the kitchen and saw the open oven door, the half peeled potatoes and me bawling my eyes out.
He wordlessly walked out of the kitchen. He came back a minute later and led me into the living room. He held my freezing hand and carefully inspected it. I couldn't stop the tears from falling. He was so sweet and gentle.
He'd run me a bath. Nobody has ever run me a bath before.
He cleared up the kitchen while I got in. He'd poured too much bubble bath but it felt perfect. Maybe not perfect. I was slipping around and I couldn't get comfortable. I gave up after five minutes of trying to relax yet keep my head above the water. It did the trick though. I wasn't as frustrated as I had been. I felt safer.
I curled up on the sofa in the big ugly robe that my sister had bought me for Christmas. It felt amazingly warm and comfortable. Solicitor held me and kissed my hair. I love the way he does that.
"I tried to call you but your phone was switched off."
"I turned it off."
Solicitor was silent for a while.
"How many times has he called?"
"I don't know. Too many."
"You have two options. You could go to the police. They'll make you fill out a form. They'll question you for hours and eventually tell you that he hasn't done anything wrong so they can't do anything..."
"Or?"
"Or you can let me deal with it."
I haven't switched my phone on yet. I haven't answered my office phone either. Gay Boss is pissed off with me.

I need to sort myself out. I don't know what option to take.

If he's scaring you let Solicitor deal with it, Bradley is being very childish and unfair to you.
I feel for you hun, nothing worse than outside influences you cant control.
Tell Gay Boss whats been going on, he's your friend, he'll understand!
Hope you feel better and its sorted soon

HI, i would say most definately leave it to soicitor....i want one like him ;0)
You seem to trust him and he makes you feel safe plus he is a solicitor so he aint gonna go round and do him with a baseball bat is he ? I hope.
I agree - let Solicitor handle it. I had a simliar situation and my husband finally managed to put an end to it.
It's one thing when someone is preying on a lone woman.... it's something else entirely when the stalker knows there's a man involved....
It also gives Solicitor some control over the situation which he would probably like... AND, it gives him a chance to show you how important you are to him....
I don't mean to sound like 1950's housewife, but let the man handle this. If Bradley doesn't back off, I would then go to the police.
Let him fix it. Just let him.
Let him fix it but make sure he's not going to do anything stupid that could get him into trouble!
I also want one like him!
And tell your boss...he'll totally understand!
This seems like a slippery-slope. The police can rarely do much, but if Solicitor does something then that could mean trouble for him (depending on how he handles it).. Can you call the cellphone company and block Bradley's phone number? I know I can block people's phone numbers on my phone. And in the office I'm sure you can request to block a person's number as well. I'm sure if you tell Gay Boss he can help you out, too.
If Bradley does start stalking you then file a restraining order. I don't know. I love that men can be the hero, but nowadays it's such a slippery-slope with legalities and lawsuits.
seriously? what the hell is wrong with this guy?? oh honey, i feel for you. i hope it all works out soon, and you really should sit down with GB and tell him what's going on. I'm sure he'd be sympathetic, and it will calm him to know that you don't mean to annoy him.
it's time to let the man take care of business... seriously
Can't help but agree with everyone here. Let your man assist you with this matter.
Always trust a man who would draw you a bath.
I agree with the others - let Solicitor deal with it. Bradley doesn't appear to understand your spoken word(s), so let Solicitor deal with it. x
Hmmm. Does Solicitor have some "connections" we don't know about? If Bradley's body shows up in the Thames, I won't breathe a word about what I know, just in case. Okay?
Kat
Let solicitor deal with it, Bradley has already been warned and he knew that you were in a relationship but persists in harrassing you!!
He has brought it on himself! Otherwise this is all going to go way out of hand!!
Keep safe!! Hayley x
Let solicitor deal with it....hopefully he will use a shank, or at least a rusty knife.
Not to echo everyone else, but let solicitor handle the matter. Let him do it now. No one should be subjected to an arse like the POS under discussion.
Again, not to change the subject, but your writing is just damn good. If this were fiction, I'd say start looking for an agent. Your skill with creating a mood is nothing less than superb.
Let Solicitor at him - I would let Spartan at mine if I thought I could get away with it. I'd like to live vicariously through you on this - let us know how it goes. Sorry this idiot is creeping you out - I hate that feeling.
It is harrassment and stalking, we take the VERY seriously in the States, not sure how they react where you are.
Tell him that you are married and your husband is an attorney!
Solicitor is right, leave it to him. Bradley needs to be "handled", i sound like a mafiosa...LOL really he's not going to stop.
Hi Elise
I've just discovered your blog and must tell you I really enjoy it.
I feel for you re your predicament, a friend of mine was in a similar situation and was also concerned about her safety. Her husband spoke to the guy but it didn't seem to deter him, so she changed all her numbers and made it well aware to all her friends not to hand out the number or any details.
I hope you are able to sort it out.
As for the work woes, talk to your boss otherwise, try coming in early a few mornings and showing your dedication and your boss might soon forget his previous concerns.
Well I am of the opposite opinion I would not let Solicitor deal with it I would leave it alone. Bradley is feeding off your emotion and getting a kick out of it. I know its difficult but chill babe x

I agree with everyone else, let Solicitor handle the situation. Let him help you. That was sweet about him running the bath- too bad he didn't join you. I really hope everything works in your favor.
XOXOXOXO,
Cocaine Princess
What a weird stalker freak! I hate guys like that. I would try to ignore him and then get a restraining order for harassment. What a freak!

This is scary that people are stalking like this. In my experience, police usually do not care about this kind of problem in the community. Reports to be filed and little leads to start.
You must be so scared!
Your gay boss might have been dumped by a boyfriend lately ...
Let him deal with it.
why don't you have a email link??? anyway, you've been tagged... go check out my blog woman ;-)
