I checked my mail last night and there were five new emails from Bradley:
You never emailed back. I'll see you at 8. You got my number call me if you're going to be late. Brad 11:00am
I'll meet you outside by the HSBC. Brad 6:12pm
I can't believe you didn't show up. Don't I mean anything to you? The least you could do was call! 9:02pm
Elise where are you? Call me 9:34pm
Look I really need to talk to you. What happened to us? You just stopped answering my calls one day. How do you think that made me feel. I need an explanation. You owe me that. 10:08pm
Needless to say I was a little freaked out. Not wanting a repeat of the fiasco the night before I showed Solicitor the emails. He was angry. Not with me, with Bradley.
"Do you have his number?"
"Its on a previous email."
Solicitor clicked on the first email Bradley sent me the night before and started dialling the number. I grabbed his arm in alarm.
"What are you doing?"
"Telling this piece of shit to go fuck himself."
I wrestled with Solicitor for the phone. He couldn't call Bradley! How embarrassing would that be? I started babbling in attempt to calm him down and stop him from making the call.
"Don't call him! I'll do it. Okay, I'll do it!"
I grabbed the phone out of Solicitor's hand and before I knew what I was doing I pressed the dial button. Bradley answered the phone on the second ring. I didn't know what to say so I stayed silent. Solicitor made a grab for the phone so I clumsily said hello.
I told Bradley that I was in a relationship and that I didn't want anything to do with him. I said it in the nicest possible way. Unfortunately Bradley has a talent for making a serious situation sound amusing.
"Elise-Babe. You sound angry! Forgotten how to take a joke?"
It pissed me off. He tried to brush everything off as a joke. I told him firmly not to contact me again and I hung up. Solicitor waited for me to say something.
"It's all sorted." I said brightly "He won't contact me again."
This morning I received another email:
Elise we had fun together didn't we? I screwed up and I'm sorry. We need to sort this out. You know you want to. Bradley
I guess it's not sorted...

A man scorned? Here's my advice with hangers on...don't e-mail - block the sender, don't answer the phone. Make it undeniably clear that you're not interested in his little game. Solicitor is right about him.
He blew you off for Greece, you didn't have much to begin with. Forget him.

(I'm celebrating a year of writing - stop by and read the poem that got me going.)
This must be more than just a booty call.
Wow have i had some catching up to do!
Tell the cheeky sod to get lost, you have a sexy man you're mad about whose mad about you too!
Dont let some ex who has some spare time on his hands ruin it for you!
I am sending mind bullets Bradley's way right now. BEHOLD THE POWER OF MALACH!
i think something similar has happened to most of us, at one point or another. Your best bet is full disclosure with your man, because if he discoveres anything that has gone down behind his back, no matter how innocent, things will be over. trust me.
i'm with Kathleen, block sender, block calls, etc. you've been more than clear that he is to STOP contacting you. if he doesn't stop, you're dating a lawyer aren't you?? say the words restraining order to Bradley and i'm sure he'll get the point.
good luck, keep us informed!
Time to go into your 'tools' menu and block the sender hun! He appears to have a problem knowing that 'no' means 'no'. x
PS How does Malach do that mind bullet trick?
If you need some help on finding the words that Bradley needs to hear, let me know--I can think of a few that might make sense to his dull pencil brain. I'm assuming, of course, you feel nothing for what appears to be an interesting POS. :-D
Your writing, outside of the facts and situation, is nothing short of excellent. You have a natural gift for pacing and dialogue and tension that surfs on emotional nuances most writers don't even know exist.
Freaky dude. Just ignore the emails. He doesn't have your number so just ignore them. No harm in just constantly deleting his mails.
I agree block. Don't bother with closure. Just click block.
What a crazy guy! What are you going to do?
I'm completely hooked on your blog, by the way! :)
Hey Elise, thanks for stopping by my blog!
I really enjoyed reading through yours. Great pictures, delicious drama, and fab writing style. I might be hooked. *wink*
This Bradley seems to think that he can pick up where he left off!! How dare he think he can click his fingers and have you back!! He mustn't have realised what he had until he lost it, more fool him!
Hayley x
Your story is a true reflection of many people's life. I really enjoy your writing.
Your solicitor friend is really nice to you, protective and understanding.
Email can be so personal these days ...
Elise, have you thought about publishing your articles into a book? If you do, I am happy to help out. Your lay out is so artistic and the content is really something :)
You know how Valentina blocked all of Senor Bling's emails and phone numbers- you need to do the same. If that doesn't work, tell him you know the Cocaine Princess!!!!
XOXOXOXO,
Cocaine Princess
Eek! How annoying and totally stalkerish. You should block his email. How annoying!
Creepy - next time get Solicitor to tell him where to go. And, no more "xx" when signing off emails. He would read that as kisses for him.
~~Solicitor may be on the money, hun.
I'd tread carefully with Bradley. You don't have to be a mail-sorter, to see this fish has "Player" written all over him.
[Block that Metaphor!]
...Good luck,
and keep smiling. :)
x,Will.
I love your blog. and with Bradley, forget him. [: and stay with the boyfriend you have now. =]
check out my blog?

hmmm.....lets put it this way. Normally, it's best to get closure about things like this...but considering that you did try and he's just not listening...ignore ignore ignore. I hope for your sake he listens to the absolute silence! if not, and it becomes freakish, maybe you should consider a restraining order?
Just forget about it! Block any form of communication that he can make with you...he's awfully persistent & it's highly annoying!
I'm all the way in sunny Cape Town & I feel the pressure from this oke!
As for Solicitor...haiwenna but I hope the oke doesn't feel threatened or anything! The worst would be if things go haywire because of this no good wanker from your past!
Hope all sorts out!
Do one of those sexy meal thingies again!
There can be no conversation unless there are two parties involved. If you truly want to be done once and for all with Bradley, quite responding AT ALL. He'll catch on, I'm sure.
And solicitor? Possessive men give me the creeps... Solicitor should realize it is up to YOU to stop the Bradley situation, not him.
Like my JB says: One thing about shit is the more you stir it, the more it stinks.
